Kintaro, aka Pugtaro, is an ally of the Ninja Turtles. He is a bratty, anthropomorphic pug from the Yojimbo Dimension, who is well known as the "Golden Boy", as he gifted with special powers that are said to be very powerful. Akemi handed him to Miyamoto Usagi, a ronin, who serves him as his personal bodyguard, as well as the Turtles. The five warriors are trying to protect the child to avoid Sumo Kuma and Jei, who are both working together so that Jei can kill him. He wields an Ax as his signature weapon of choice. Kintaro debuts in Yojimbo.

Trivia

• Kintaro is named after and based on a legendary Japanese folk hero, who was also named Kintarō (金太郎, "Golden Boy"). Kintarō, who was allegedly based on a real person named Sakata Kintoki, was a young boy in a red haragake (apron) who had super strength and fought with an axe.
